The PNDS Technical Secretariat held the national coordination meeting at STAE Meeting Room, in Dili (14th – 15th of August 2014). The meeting aimed to ensure effective coordination at the national and district level, and update attendees on progress and the challenges field staff have seen.
This meeting is held every month, and is an opportunity for both the national and district PNDS staff to present on progress from the field.
Dulce Guterres Junior, PNDS Operational Director, said she is confident in PNDS teams’ capability: “even though we have faced many obstacles in the implementation of PNDS, we have such a strong team, so we are capable of resolving these obstacles effectively”, she said.
About 30 people participated in this months’ meeting, including two Directors, five Chiefs from the National Secretariat, 13 District Directors, as well as the technical staff from PNDS. Ms. Melinda Mousaco, Field Support Team Senior Adviser from the National Program for Village Development Support Program and the Field Support Teams from all 13 districts also attended.
The implementation of PNDS is supported by the Australian Government, through training and technical advice to the Field Support Teams.
